The Corps Commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, said in Dutse that the suppose was apprehended following a tip-off by patriotic people.
He clarified that the suspect provided birth to the baby on Sept. 1 round 11.30p.m and supposedly dumped it in the lavatory.

The Commandant said that the suspect asserted that she was impregnated by a man who ordered her to get rid of the baby.
Gidado said the man has also been apprehended, supplementing that “he confessed to committing the offence”.
He said that health examination conducted at General Hospital, Hadejia, revealed that the suppose provided birth to the baby.
He asserted that efforts were being made to retrieve the baby, which he said “might be dead by now due to the hours it expended” in the toilet.
The commandant said that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation had been concluded. [NAN]
