When inquired about the alleged activity between she and Genny, player Ella said:
Genevieve is a very good ally of mine...we contacted way back in 2004 and we have been good friends since then. The article that we are lovers should have come from another female ally of hers. I am saying this because since 2004, there have been no such lesbian tales but suddenly it sprung up.
Towards the end of last year, I came to Nigeria and I stayed with Genevieve. whereas we resided under the same roof, we dozed in different rooms.
There was a time during my visit that we both went to glimpse a friend in a inn in Lekki and persons glimpsed us going in. We subsequent went clubbing that night with the ally and which I believe is a usual thing for girls to club if they want to. But that was when the rumours got poorer, that we went into the hotel to sleep with each other!!!
She said it’s not the first time the Press would mark her a lesbian but she has developed a broad skin and so it doesn’t hassle her because she understands she is not a lesbian!
Genevieve and I have known each other since 2004 and she actually is a pleasant person if you get to understand her. We talk on telephone a alallotmentment and we talk about life's issues like normal young women do...she is a wonderful individual. I estimate it’s because she is a famous
individual that some undesirable elements desire to tarnish her image...and mine too. The Press make things poorer too. There was a time I presented with Tony Tetuila and there were rumours after then that we were going out with. But I just desire to emphasize here that Genevieve and I are not in any pattern of sexual relationship, we are just good friends
