“I accept as true the deceased decided to suspend herself due to the assistant disgrace and stigmatisation she experienced after the rape incident,” Akhigbe said. He said that the command had commenced investigation into the alleged rape allegations filed by the deceased family.
One of the family constituents, who pleaded for anonymity, said that the girl was reportedly gang-raped last week.
“She was on errand for her elder sister and was supposedly raped at gun point by three young men who compelled her into an uncompleted building.
“The girl was devastated after the occurrence.
“After some days she notified her sister and the married man her know-how. Her sister’s husband who is a Pastor, inquired her to recount any of her attacker.
“She recounted one of the young men, but the young man could not be discovered; I accept as true Pastor counselled her (the victim).
“The pastor has pledged to chase the issue to the court.
“She ingested a poisonous matter renowned as Sniper and she was found out while groaning in pains and rushed to GloryLand clinic.
“The casualty was found out through the note she dropped before taking the venomous substance,” the source said.
