The Senior employees Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has announced the suspension of its week-long hit.
The suspension of the strike is comprised in a declaration handed out in Abuja on Friday and marked by the association’s National receptionist, Mr pledge Adewusi.
It said that the conclusion to hover the hit was informed by the government Government’s compliance with the association’s claims.
“Following substantial compliance to our demand for the payment of August and September wages of our members which is the reason for our present nationwide hit action, we hereby hover the hit and direct all our members to come back to their duties with effect from Monday, the 14th of October, 2013.”
The statement thanked constituents of the association for their solidarity, adding that the non payment of the wages of its members for work finished would not happen afresh. (NAN)
