ASUU STRIKE: Students Give FG, ASUU 7-Day Ultimatum

The National Association of Nigerian scholars (NANS), yesterday handed out a one-week ultimatum to the government Government and the union’s leadership to resolve their differences or face corrosive penalties.

The students’ body appealed to ASUU to return to the classroom and extend negotiation with the Federal Government since the last mentioned asserted to have released over N100 billion for infrastructural development and another N30 billion for allowances.
“We are appealing to ASUU that since the Federal Government has been able to issue N100 billion for infrastructural development and N30 billion for allowance, they should go back to school room and extend their negotiation or agitation. This is our prayer and desire.
“We are giving them one week to open the schools or be prepared to face corrosive penalties in pattern of nation-wide demonstration and riots. We are prepared to activate for that and it will be operation live at Nigeria,” he said.

Lamenting the effect of the strike, Obasi said students have become prone to misfortunes on the main roads and the feminine students have been decreased to s*x hawkers on the roads.
His phrases: “I stand to notify you that a allotment of misfortunes have been recorded and 99.9% of the victims are Nigerian scholars. If they were in school rooms, they would not have dropped victims of street smashes.

“Our feminine students have become commercial s*x hawkers on the streets in alignment to make finishes rendezvous. This colossal effect is more than what ASUU is agitating for. Hence, we can no longer bend our arms and watch things proceed wrong.”
